Halloween 2009
Well Halloween was a big hit this year. Last year neither of my kids would even dress up, Dallin just cried when we put him in his little monkey costume he was so tired as well. Ben didn't want to dress up when it came down to it either. This year they were loving it. Ben a cowboy {he dresses like this everyday everywhere we go} and Dallin a fur trapper with moccasins. We went to the couple of neighbors across the street and then off to the church trunk or treat.

Sandra Lee
Well last week I wrote a letter to the wonderful Sandra Lee, she wrote an auto biograghy a while back and I read it and was both touched and shocked at some of the similarities her and I share. I wrote her a letter and the next day was contacted asking for my home address for a reply. I thought that was a little wierd but thought maybe she was going to just send a message back to me in the mail or something. Then today there was a LARGE heavy package at my front door, it had her name on it and I opened it to find 5 books, her 3 BRAND spanking new cook books and 2 most recent magazines. I was SHOCKED and so exited. What a generous and kind gift! I can't believe she did that! There is no way they can do that to all her fans. Send a boz of books, ha! Here are the books I recieved and I can't wait to start cooking from them. Sandra Lee is amazing and helps us prepare fast cheap meals. with a 70/30 ratio. 70% store bought meal with 30% added fresh. She is a doll and from reading her book you can tell she is a real GEM, Thanks sandra! You made my dreary week a lot more bright!

Help Taylie!
I recieved this email from a dear friend today she is doing a fundraiser for a little girl named Taylie Abbott. We need your help in spreading the word about this adorable little girl.
these are Kylene's words "I decided that I would create my own little fundraiser for this family. I asked around and found a generous man who said he would be happy to help. I told him I wanted to do something that would make more people aware. I thought that the more people who know, obviously the more people can help. I also wanted to do something fun, have some sort of giveaway or prize. He (this amazing man) said that he would donate two dollars for every single person who posts Taylie's link on their blog. Easy enough huh. All you have to do is post her link and then let me know you did. Just by doing that, you will be donating two dollars. Tell your friends to post it on their blogs, and tell them to let me know. If their friends tell their friends this little story will spread and the more people who know, well, the more people can help. They can donate or lend support in all the ways that they can."
The way this will work is like this:
1. Link Taylie's website on your blog with any message that you'd like to about inspiring and helping each other. Somewhere, link to mine so others can let me know they are participating. This is how our money pot will grow. Remember, each comment is worth 2 dollars.
2. Let me KYLENE know you did it. You can leave a comment or email me. When I have your name, it will go in our drawing for the black beauty. {prada purse}
3. After this weekend, we will count how many people participated and I will get a lovely little (well, let's hope BIG) check and send it to the Abbott family.
4. Go hug your kids.
Okay, many are wondering how to participate if you don't have a blog. If you have a facebook account, link Taylie's website on your facebook page or join her facebook group and let me know. If you have a Twitter account, tweet away! Each link and tweet are worth $2. You just need to let me know about it so we can make sure we get it counted.
Dear friends,
I believe that "Because we have been given much we too must give" and being a part of the Mrs.Idaho America pageant, and having to get sponsors, I know that every dollar counts and adds up fast! Not to mention you only have to post this to your blog, or twitter, facebook etc! so easy and can add up so fast! We all can only imagine how hard it would be to have a sick child. I would like to think If I were in this situation the same thing would be done for me. So please, spread the word!
If you post this to your blog please email me tinamarie1999@hotmail.com or kylene south kylenesouth@gmail.com to let us know! If you email her the email may go into her just so please lable it "help taylie"

Bens 5th B-day
The Pirate party was a BIG hit! I loved how all the kids dressed up as pirates! I also painted the boys's room that weekend. The stripes match all the americana stuff and I'm going to add little stars as well

Idaho City
The first shop we went into there was a tiny beanie puppy that Dallin fell in love with and has pretty much carried it around ever since purchase. It's the cutest little doggie. Poor Dallin had missed his nap and fell asleep about 30 seconds after we put him in his car seat, we hadn't even pulled out of the driveway yet and he was asleep. and of course he fell asleep snuggling his puppy, I had to take a picture it was all too cute. The other is of Ben eating his ice cream he was covered it was so cute. We both got bubblegum flavored ice cream :) good stuff We went to a restaraunt for lunch and dallin was being so funny he had his bottle laying on the table and was drinking from it with no hands. goofy kid!
